Because tap water contains fluoride that can be harmful to indoor plants like Dracaenas, you may want to use rainwater or water that has gone through the process of reverse-osmosis to remove it. Water the Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana' plant with the fluoride-free water once per week until the soil is soaked but not sopping wet. Watering too frequently can lead to root rot. And, use room-temperature or warm water as cold water can damage these sensitive tropical plants.

Mist your corn plant once per day with a spray bottle that has been filled with water; corn plants require a humid environment because they are tropical.
