PETTUNIA PLANT CARE:
Petunias are among the most popular flowering annuals for good reason. Petunias are bright and lively, bloom from spring until frost, and scent the air with lovely fragrance. Best of all, petunias are amazingly easy to grow, both in the garden and in containers. Petunias are herbaceous perennials, usually grown as annuals, that have become one of our most popular garden plants.
Petunias need at least 5 or 6 hours of good sunlight; they'll perform even better when located in full sun all day. The more shade they receive, the fewer flowers they'll produce. Impatiens are a better choice for blooming in shady places.
To establish a healthy root system, newly planted petunias need evenly moist soil for the first few weeks after planting. Once established, reduce watering to once every 7-10 days. Don't let the soil dry out completely.
